The following directions and map will help you to find us.
From Junction 27 on the M5 Motorway it is just 30 minutes from Witheridge. Leaving the motorway at junction 27 take the A361 North
Devon Link Road towards Barnstaple, which will quickly bring you to the market town of Tiverton. Leave the A361 dual carriageway by
turning first left at the roundabout. Skirt around the edge of town by turning right (Kennedy Way) at the next roundabout. Passing
Morrisons Supermarket on your left take the first right turn after you cross over the River Exe. Look out for the sign for the
B3137 Witheridge road, second turning on the left (Long Drag Hill). Follow this road for 10 miles, through Withleigh and Nomansland.
Carry on until you enter the village of Witheridge. As you drive through the village you will find the Mitre Inn on the right hand
side of the road just before the village square.

The Mitre Inn is situated on the Two Moors Way in the lovely village of Witheridge, which is some 10 miles
West of Tiverton, and 9 miles South East by South of South Molton, on the B3137, the old Tiverton to Barnstaple
Road.
First built in the sixteenth century as a Coach House, the Mitre is now a Grade Two listed building located
at the very heart of a rural community, and set amidst un-spoilt and undulating countryside which has a
remote and tranquil feeling difficult to find elsewhere these days.
Witheridge is at the very centre of the region known as the Devon Heartland, an area that provides some of
the finest walking and cycling in the South West of England through a network of dedicated footpaths and
sleepy country lanes, making it an ideal base for walking holidays and for those requiring a quiet break
in beautiful countryside. For those who prefer the coastal resorts, then our location within the county
means that most of Devon is within an hours easy drive offering access to the beautiful North Devon beaches
of Woolacombe Bay, Saunton Sands and Croyde Bay, and resorts such as Ilfracombe, Minehead, Porlock and of
course Exmoor National Park, while to the South is Dartmoor National Park, and the seaside resorts of Exmouth,
Sidmouth and Dawlish.
